Camera

[the mingo]

o man the body is not music
not even a complete room
but happens to a pattern
of low hours
flung from or across love
& not for our own purposes
not so much
but in process of a larger thing
the morning has passed
leaving us a handful of vowels
where the wind becomes rock in revelation
the camera catches us leaning
against a wall in a nameless city
we look into the lens
our face exposed
