I got this book for Christmas
"An Illustrated Life"
by Danny Gregory
Danny Gregory's wonderful... I have another book exploring his own art/writing journals and talking about the process but this one focuses on other artists... showing pages from their books.... plus includes the artist's comments about their books .... (including R. Crumb, btw, and many others)
Highly recommended. I LOVE this book! very inspiring!

How many of you keep art/writing journals like this?
I do from time to time... I'm going to get back into doing it regularly.
Would it be cool to have a forum to post pages from your journals? Or an event to do that or something?
what do you think?

Sure, doreen, it'd be very cool to look into others' journals.
i'd love to see yours, norman's, panta's, jim's and everyone else who's sketching through life.
mine would be mostly 3-D boxes as i sketch my inner frustration while being bored in sit-down lectures, but my son's would be fascinating.
He sketched his high school years in tiny little circles building up to worlds on pages.
