been a whole bunch of gray days in a row
trees look feeble and windswept-
not a second passes without a remote and distant
call of the heart torn and frayed
lost in the sway of a bigger sea
it untangles the webs
that spiders wove
spun in love
dewdrops glistening in the light
hold on for dear life

Him the other night
I am sure
Had he been here
There would have been a terrible fight
did not really want me at all
How really he didn't think i loved him right
Let the snow make his heart and skin
all tight

Kindness is not weakness
