december - no leaves

[the mingo]

i open the door named mountain
beyond are clouds without doubts
the living room is the wreck site
of a downed couch
dogbones litter the cockpit
no sign of fire
small game tracks all around
old & new -

- i find things like this all the time
it's hard to know what to make of it all -

an owl watches me
from a branch of a nearby oak
this time of year he is easy to see
- december - no leaves -

never know what you'll find out there, but you won't find it in the house...I love coming across discarded items....often use them for art projects....guess that owl doesn't give a hoot..
