Revelation

During service
yesterday, the sun
threw its light
through
blue and red
stained glass

God whispered
the latest gossip
about my deceased
parents
into my ear

an hour later
enough snow
had fallen
to cover
any signs
of real life.

clerestory upon
the pews.....
