City Lights

CITY LIGHTS

With all the city lights
our sky is sorely blurred,
we cannot see the night
its stars now are obscured

For all our worldly light
we have become too blind to see,
the sky is not as bright
as it used to be

What happened to the sky
where we could see afar,
what's become of that good night
where we could wish upon a star

Now we are compromised
our sky filled with debris,
marred by city lights
starry nights only a memory.
