concentric circles
the way others see you

three rings
that must intersect
in equal proportions
sanity exists in the overlap

when the circles don't touch
there is delusion, and that
other woman was unreachable,
a sociopath committing crimes
with no remorse, but even worse
without any memory, that woman
is Narcissus' handmaiden
chosen carefully to carry the torch,
of loving herself to death

alcohol and ego are terrible bedfellows
the codependency is ironclad addiction
and there is no way to break into that planetary system
there is no way to connect the rings, make
them touch again, the circles float like space junk
you may get a glimpse now and then
when their orbit comes near, but orbs on juice
are destined for black holes
