When You Left this Morning

Maybe you made coffee,
maybe you left a note.

I can only imagine the warmth
of your hand as you closed the door.

There was no need for words,
best things are left unsaid.

Interesting how a flood of memories came with this tide of a few simple words . The warmth of her hand . yes. so what is this show not tell bullshit they always harp on? I laughed when I tHOUGHT ABOUT THAT NONSENCE QUESTION ASKED ABOUT A POEM.

Depends on what's showing and telling sometimes ;) But you're right...most of it is BS. Just write.
