It is the danger of kisses
which keeps us close;
after they end, there might
be nowhere to go.
You see, I will lose you
eventually; it is written
in this poem we shall pass
at different times.
September is telling me this,
shaking its leaves in my face
before they fall.
Sometimes I measure my life,
just waiting to see you again.
