12:22 AM

Post by WIREMAN »

the floor squeaks
during midnight runs
an immense hummmmm
as if all time surrenders
darkness illuminated
by an iPad's glow
the humming wavers
now it returns
then sudden silence
words upon the screen
lonely words
uplifting words
powerful words
whatever you want
them to be words
the ticking of time
no clock
just an image digital
at the top of the screen
it goes on and on
like a river
like a freeway
like the day turning
into night, the morning
it's all so simple
have you the courage
to understand?
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

I'm trying..
but how does one
understand the digital?
It didn't seem to be just
another river, yet it is..

the sweet tumultuous roll of time
the beauty and the beast, the glow
of words spilled in the blackness
time cannot be corralled, cannot be
paused like a mournful melody

entropy
time's arrow
slowly
relentlessly
the universe winds down
cold becoming warm
as warm becomes cold
thermal equilibrium
everywhere
everywhen

Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
