doctors on speed-dial
used to be fast food and women back in the day
life is a satire, the joke
is on the man with the white whiskers and disappearing hair
that brash young fella
that could eat jalapenos while drinking you under the table
he left one day ( definitely the best thing )
left the building to run down some crazy ethereal dream
and he never came back ( also best thing that could have happened )
but now !.. there's some decrepit old imposter coot... here for the long haul
the long haul
the long haul

Re: the long haul
yes i think that woman that used to sit on the bar stool with long blonde hair and fish nets
looks much like a witch to me now
long red nails and high heels
maybe she was a great lover
maybe she was a sloppy drunk
maybe she was my friend
now
i wonder
how i ever was able to like her
how she changed so much with in me
that i had to rearrange my chimney
built a fire in my chest
had to burn the rest
silly as it may seem
she lived only in the dreams
for while awake
make no mistake
it was mass consumption

reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
Re: the long haul
pretty young things
always a delight
to the eye
candy
but a fully-ripened woman
with laugh lines
an extra pound
or three
and a touch of gray
a real woman
beyond pretty...
