accidental purgatory

it's not that I didn't
meet my goals
I didn't have any concrete,
the breeze was my motivation

Oh sure, I had my passions
gave into XYZ desires
the distractions of the feminine wile,
I was a dyed-in-the day-glo northern magnet

headin' south
on an acid trip
that lasted a lifetime,
and...this is where I landed

midway inside
the persistence of old man pain
and comfortably numb,
unremarkable and perfect
