I love the Kardashians - they are Paris Hilton's grandchildren
my first cousin, once removed, she's been dead awhile now,
her house was bulldozed not long after she died
I don't think she knew who Paris Hilton was
one time my first cousin told me how she made a whole horse
from a tree branch she found
riding it up and down the road singing songs the whole ride

- I thought to myself at the time
that's the whole ticket right there -

I remember buying a whole roll of tickets
for the rides at the traveling carnival
holding them in my hand
bringing them to my nose - inhaling their scent
the cheap paper printed with the words in heavy black ink "Admit One"
how I hoped it wouldn't be just me
how I hoped it would be a ride of a lifetime
how I hoped midst all those flashing colored lights
there would be some dreams

Cool stuff. I still love me some flashing lights, some carnival blights and Vegas dreams. When in Rome ... Not sure about the Kardashians (someone ripped off my TV in 2004 and I never replaced it). Weren't they some sort of alien race on Star Trek?

Paris Hilton used to be hot. Now she's just Paris Hilton. She never looked like a hotel to me.
