dreams of dino

Post by saw »

in my dream dino said
'I've taken to writing in pencil,
what you lose in fluidity, you gain
in grit", and he also reminded me, "death
takes the fun out of life."
he talked about this like a unshakable clairvoyant
that sees the inevitable finality of it all,
I mean, he must have known
there was something growing inside him
and his humor and humility never wavered....
he kept it in his pocket with his purple bandana,
he told me nobody gets out of here alive,
just some sooner than others.
the death of empathy is the birth of barbarism

Just a matter of time for all of us...the inevitable....unavoidable......though u gotta just go on with it till the last breath......yes nobody gets outta here ......alive...ya know I've gotten a couple of emails from Dino the last couple of weeks, cruel jokes...I also got some from my sister before that....I just delete them, might be a virus...
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

I miss him, yet his words still put put me right in his world. He does that; he puts you right in his scene, his rhythms and byways, pikers and proto-saints..

And he was right about the write; nearly everything I've ended up saving began as pencil (or pen) scratchings.

fine piece, and one Dino very well may smile upon reading this.

who knows the unknowable?

imagination as savior is likely, if you like.
