We Are Trees

Post by the mingo »

she stuck a fish
in her ear

i wrote with a fish

she had different colored fingers
my fingers all the same color

we went to a waterfall
she pointed to a stone post
that had writing on it
drums played

she wore white shirts
and black pants
fell asleep on a bench
woke up
looked right at me

and said,
"let's pretend we are trees"
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

but then you'd be planted, and you couldn't move!..
(sorry, liked this a lot.) I still remember that shot of Marilyn hugging a tree in "The Misfits" back in 1960...

how I pined for her...
(maple she loves me, maple she don't...)
never was poplar with the gals
had a beech of a time getting them to look my way
(willow have dinner with me?)
...cedar writing on da wall...
...made an ash of myself...

tune in
drop acid
and hug a tree

she was a topless dancer
she said blow up your tv
move to the country
eat a lot of peaches . . .

A treehouse
Held the children
In suspense: protected
It took a few minutes
To feel the rain
The tree was immersed
In total happiness
Rain children and hugs
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

sorry man (well, not really)

I never could resist offering testimony to prove that the pun is the lowest form of humor!
