one eye covered
the other emerald,
asymmetric black bangs
blowing
'cross a porcelain cheek
inside a frame of blue sky

sometimes paintings can walk
sometimes they even smile at you
and when that happens
on a cold bus stop when one
is in the throes of ennui
a man might feel like

he was blessed
the death of empathy is the birth of barbarism

Blessings to the soul that can find comfort in simple beautiful moments in anytown USA
The sun rises and touches the places that were once dark
Walking in the sunlight
Reflecting on the places where I was loved
And the places I loved the most
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
