She sounded exuberant on the phone,
excited about her life — dreams with plans
for the future.

While we talked,
I watched the sunset through the window,
a prism of colors filling the sky.
Sunrise tomorrow will be even brighter!

Wish we had a "like" button.
I want to like Judih's dogs barking
and the hope of miracles ...
I want to like Saw sharing Prince
and Dhani

I like it anyway even without the "like" button.

sun!
low in the sky
naked trees block my view
casting long shadows
they stand in confusion
gawking at this unfamiliar spectacle
a ball of flame
skimming the southern horizon
they have forgotten
when it rose far overhead
when their shadows were short
when they covered themselves
with greenery
when their home, the forest
was alive with things
that buzzed and chirped
and crawled and flew
but I have not
and await the inevitable return
of those times

Rudolph, you are just way too hip,
You always shoot straight from the lip.
But that’s a bit much shine,
maybe put down the wine:
You became abstract with that last sip.

(Happy holidays all, fantastic to see a wordjam after a very long time of being away)

Sasha sunshine tracking
such beautiful images
not lacking anything left
to the imagination
'cause I could see it!

And Neologistic returns with art
to start a new year!
Welcome back to the

As usual, we can make one up as we go along.

I'm very hungry. Rather lonely. Wishing I knew how to write.
But anyway, I thought I'd stop by here tonight
and say hello and thank you for being here.

the ice storm has passed
the power held
and now the supper dishes dry
and freshly laundered towels
dance on the line
before a brisk westerly breeze
the sun peeks out
from behind puffy cumulous clouds
like a bashful geisha
from behind her fan
the dog snores
while sprawled on the couch
and I sip coffee
twixt visits to Studio8
and blackpenredpen
then I gotta
trim my beard & 'stache
this quiet interlude
between the holidays
.
