Bob Dylan

Post by Doreen Peri »

For those who don’t like rhyme,
I offer you Bob Dylan.
You listen to him all the time.
He’s no poet villain.
Check your judgment at the door.
He’s a genius. Maybe more.
Perhaps he is a poet saint.
A failure, he sure ain’t.
You know I’m definitely right.
He’ll be my baby tonight.

I'd be tangled up in blue
if I didn't admit it's true
I bet Bob's got a song for you
and he'll sing it for ya too
baby let me follow you down
baby let me follow you down
well I do anything in this god almighty world
if you just let me follow you down
the death of empathy is the birth of barbarism

Saw & mnaz

I knew someone would see it my way.
He’s a genius on the 61st highway!
The Rolling Thunder concert’s my fave.
My review is rave!

That Beasties song’s like a shot of penicillin.
Chillin’ like Bob Dylan! Yes!
He’s superb! The best. 😉

Old Bob's around 80yo now... deserving of his talent, eh?

His talent hasn’t faded one bit! He’s also an accomplished visual artist and welder (he creates decorative metal gates).

He’s on tour again right now. 80 years old and still going strong! It’s amazing.

I'm not familiar to this song (probably unaware of dozens of his songs/writings)

Thanks, Dor! ;)

Looks like it’s from a movie I’ve never seen. You can listen here:
https://youtu.be/q7rrzI7Ww4U

I missed a lot of his stuff during the 80s. I saw him in DC in 1979 during his Christian era. Then later, I saw him again on 2000 (might have been 1999) when he toured with Paul Simon. The second show was fabulous! The first I mentioned I don’t remember that well. We were sitting up in a balcony. We were very high! Lol

Some amazing art. I hadn't seen any of these. I've been to some of those desert places, like Roy's (Amboy, California), and especially Monument Valley (at about the same time--sunset, mygods what a sunset-- though I came from the other direction).

Heh, you were sitting up in a balcony and you were very high ... (and we don't mean the height of the balcony!) Nice.

Yeah, he’s a phenomenal visual artist! Cool that you’ve been to some of those places! Thanks for enjoying my pun! 😉 Hahahah

Check out his metal welding work also! I’m totally impressed by his huge diversity of artistic talents. I’m awed by it!
