between the lines
is truth from another life
I write for the chance
to tap into that vein
that magnetic mainline to authenticity

it hides
in the dark spaces between small talk
and egomania
in the celestial sliver, always there
when the guards come down

eden
is nothing more than the human connection
soul to head, head to heart
we need it
like a strain of regenerative opium

we crave it like a cool drink of water

in the deserts of all time past
sparks fly
when they are unbound from the glass jars
meet me in the pantry
I won't open my mouth

You'll see it all
in my eyes, see it all in the lines in my face
lines that strip paint
melt lies
silent lines that hide nothing
