On a Personal Note

Post by mnaz »

I have an old Nissan truck parked
across the street and another truck
newer, bigger and ten times as good
parked in front of my door.

The old Nissan is still my truck.

I still wax nostalgic about my old free-wheelin' Saab, redolent of weed while Mahavishnu roars from its sloping amphitheater rear deck...

That old little Nissan took me all across the American desert southwest 20+ years ago during the difficult time of 9/11 and beyond, and it was amazing on narrow trails. At the time I just assumed they'd keep making trucks like that but I was wrong.
