I would love to do his , but my hearing is so bad now I might not be able to participate

I have however done Google Meets ( like Zoom) because I feel comfortable with their closed captioing

I imagine Zoom has a simliar feature ?

btw, if any poets here would like to Google Meet with me sometime, I would be interested.....I'm not socializing at all because of cancer treatment, so its a good way for me to stay in touch with my friends.....I even do it with my kids

Hi Steve— I don’t know if they will be doing closed captioning or not. I’ll try to find out for you. I understand.

I’m not sure whether I will attend or not myself right now.
I’m having a tough time dealing with the reality of my sister’s death, as well — so I’ll see how feel when the time comes. I hope to attend.

Jannette Watt who used to post here as Whitebird and who is a friend of Judih’s, asked for my email telling me Judih’s sister wanted Judih’s online poet friends to know about this, so that’s why I posted this.

I think it’s lovely that they’re having this event!

I only got sent a link via email, not a password, so I don’t know how it will work. I thought a password was needed for Zoom. I don’t know.

I just found info online that sometimes it’s set up with no password required. So that’s probably how this is set up.

Steve, I don’t know if they’ll have CC available. I looked it up on the Zoom site and I found out the host would have to turn it on to make it available but it also said, “For a Zoom Room to display captions using live transcription, the meeting host must have a live transcription license.” So, it seems unlikely to me that they’d have it available but I don’t know.

I’d love to do Google Meets with you some time.
