Maybe the stupidest, the absolute stupidest thing
is falling in love
but not in the real world,
who has a heart as fearless as that.
I go silicon not carbon
But it got so real this time
I had this hole in my heart
And I thought
For crying out loud
she is a got dam mouse.
That put a nice edge on it.
Now the emotional storm has passed
The center is so calm
I needed to remember what love is
A few years ago I was arrested with my cousin and brought "downtown". Butch is always polite and calm with johnny law, no matter what amount of alcohol he's consumed. Myself, well.....I'm a idiot who likes to make things worse. I was thrown into this little "holding" room. The room is about 5feet by 8feet with a little window on the door just about as big as my head. I was so pissed that they were letting Butch go, I could see him through the glass getting processed for release. He was smiling at me, waving, giving me the finger and just all around fucking with me. I got so mad that I slammed my head on the glass and knocked myself out. When I came to, Butch was gone and I was hancuffed to a cot in a different room. So there is a bunch of stupidity in this post, how many can you count? Needless to say, I havent drank a drop of "hard" alcohol since then. I stick to beer now, and It seems to keep me away from the law.
I used to have a sleeper team partner, sweetest guy I ever met. Looked like a grizzly and almost as big. He could not watch slasher movies because of Viet Nam.
Now this part is pure bullshit, cause you know truckers got it one the inside of their boots.
Shoot a guy in an alley behind a bar. Warned him twice to back off, but the drunk had blood in his eyes, sadly he did not realize it was his own. I shrugged when he told me and said if it was me I would stay out of bars.
"When whiskey and blood run together
...
I saw a wreck on the highway"
The stupidest things that I have ever done have usually been the result of me ignoring my inner voice. I know that sounds like all New Age, but it's true.
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."
yeah man it don't sound like mombo jumbo to me
that other path leads to insanity
but Ted K the unabomber was listening to something, beats me clay I don't know the quakers call it a still queit voice. It can be heard beneath the loud belligerent voices that Bushco hears. The Ship Of Fools manifesto that he demanded the NY TIMES publish is brilliant, too bad he is bat shit crazy. Maybe the hazards of being a hermit. Live up on that mountain, never come into town, no one to piss you off, some lout to step on your toes.
One day there was a knock at my door. These guys had been calling me on the phone for six months trying to get me to cook some speed for them. They claimed to have ripped off a bottle of P2P from Texas A & M and that they were in trouble because they owed their bookie twenty-thousand bucks.
They arranged to come by my house. When I met them, the first thing that went through my head was (and it was loud and clear as if someone were whispering it in my ear) was, "These guys are narcs." But I had fallen on hard times and their scheme enticed me. I could have used the half a million that I would have made. So, I ignored my inner voice.
It turned out that they were Texas Rangers and they entrapped me. That mistake cost me four years of my life.
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."
that one makes the hairs on the back of my neck prikcle. All I can think of is the day you got out and found out somedoy had been ripping you off. "There is more where that came from." Say I don't need to talk to you on the phone I got your flute. take care, I need you for the long haul beautiful brother.
Marian McPartland Pianio jazz, love that show, she so hot.
back home in huntsville again
found me a woman
as warm as the sunshine
she talked about having
a rose covered cottage
but roses cost money
you know the rest.......
