i know a guy about your age teaching english in india right now...actually, he started around september, and is just finishing up...were you teaching in india?

No, I was teaching in Thailand, if you want to call what I did teaching, but they paid me. Teaching in India is more difficult because Indians speak pretty good English already, so you really kind of have to be an acutal teacher to work here.
