In a moment
or a day
we could lose
the way,

spinning, turning
on the bottom
of a top in
flames,

all the claims for
the everafter
could end on a
bed of nervous
laughter,

to be reborn after
the deluge that
had it's day,

it all starts by
grabbing an
instrument and
starting to play.

soaring beyond the capacity
of prepubescent bodies
spirits extend fathoms above
the reach of baby fat thighs
lavender with their newness
plush with virginity
but hungry for the first time
with the eager, determined hearts
of dancers.

now i'll play

blues
beatles.....stones..even a lil country...goin up the country that is,

we played the day and night away
yesterday.....then I
paid a visit to my flame
right now she is "Fire"
for me the endless energy
has returned
a kinda cool burn
raging on the stage
in the spotlight
for all to see............
