dead miners, dead skaters, fraudulent lobbyist, fire victims, bin laden still alive, air strikes (WAR!), SUVs not helping kids, iran resuming nucular work, etc etc.

i knew that having dick clark mumble in the new year was a bad idea.

heartbreaking, heartbreaking, heartbreaking.

an unbelievable and cruel tragedy these families have been put through.

even our newspaper here in vancouver proclaims the joyous miracle of "12 miners found alive!" but then i sit down to check my email, and there on the 'net ... well, what an absolute sin. the photographs of these poor grieving people.

it's just too heartwrenching.
