can i write, on the lam?
can i write poetry when it's beaten out of me?
can i summon shade out of moon rock,
or tranquil shades of tranquil,
where rivers waste their time?
how could I write home,
cozy up with metaphor,
when rivers must answer for their crimes?

i'll be home soon.
