credo

Post by joel »

And I believe in body, spirit, soul
like faith, like hope, like love; true virtues roll
in unity— but there I fill my role
where spirit flows enfleshed. Good heavens dole
not prison bodies – no, not shipwreck shoals
of tortured spirits; fleshed is spirit’s goal.
Your disembodied spirit pays a toll
and, like expired corpses, life is null
and void of life like anthracitic coal
compressed, addressed as fill dirt in a hole
of sheol’s pit. ...A shadowed figure stole
my logical dichotomies and sole
attempts for Wisdom’s truths: revealed a soul
alive and wise; the best of these is whole.
