Titty Man

Post by Lightning Rod »

several years ago I was invited to a party in Dallas to celebrate the fact that the Dallas Slam Team had won first place in the National Poetry Slam in Seattle.
I've never particularly looked at myself as a slam poet, but Clebo Rainey, who was the coach of the team, took me around and introduced me as 'the original Dallas slam poet'. I was flattered.
One of the team members that year was this poet. He did this poem at the party:

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/qTzrpr4rrgw"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/qTzrpr4rrgw" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

that reminds me of this joke by a pal of ours here on S8
Did you hear about the lady owl who went on a blind date?
She said "Who who."
Her blind date answered, "Not you you flat-faced bitch"
Terrible joke I know but I thought it was a hoot!
She once called them "meaty magnets"
I have not seen her around for a long time. Ain't no sunshine when she ain't here.

Just what I needed to take the edge off an otherwise aggravating day. That was funny as hell. Looks like a clip from Def Poetry Jam?
