mad poetry lady
burning rubber alphabets
slicing words inadequate
grabbing leaves and footnotes

today, gathering vowels
in japanese simplicity
arranging thoughts and standing aside

madness abates
frustration cools
sweet slobbering neuroses on hold

it's all here
all anxieties accounted for
fever temporarily appeased

too much noise, too many toys.
buy! buy! makes the world go 'round..
finance teetering on finance,
warehouses of empty lust
and bombed-out humvees,
suede mussolinis fiddling,
lip synching talkin' points,
on the hot line to god...
and to the republic for which it stands,
infrastructure rot and collapsing bridges,
the crime families of demockracy,
the decline of Atlantis,
under a red ink ocean...

yes, we're still here,
for what it's worth...
a great deal...

i flipped, forged, fingered the merchandise
nice stuff, slipped inside a trench coat
dashed amongst thieves and penny antes
calling all characters
divvy up the gold
a doubloon for a tune
where's hester when you need a chanteuse
a funky smouldering blues her
who woos her tonight?
we all want to make her day
and yours
clint eastwood complex
21st century complication
meditation or soap opera?
