Seeking the Sought
"Do not seek to follow in the footsteps of the men of old;
seek what they sought." - Basho
Krishna, Siddhartha, Abraham, Jesus, Mohammad - so many more that came before, these men of old speaking of truths in languages of man. But what is it they are all saying... what is the collective agreement that all these men of old sought and attempt to relay to their followers?seek what they sought." - Basho
There can be no one word that all will understand. Languages are too diverse - words made up of sounds that attempt to define experiences that only the experienced had. Languages come close. Often times very close. But we cannot follow the words. We must follow that which the words attempt to define : Truth.
But even Truth is a word. "Truth" cannot be understood until one seeks out truth within. This is what the men of old sought : what Truth is... what Truth does... what Truth says. Not simply 'Truth", for that is but a word. Those that sought Truth and achieved Truth know not anything but what Truth is, what Truth has done for them, what Truth says without speaking...
Truth revealed awakens the seeker to become that which was sought and found within.
