of egg and I,
oh egg and I,
it is you
I must dye,
in patriot
adherence
to jesus's
disappearance,
out from under
that rock,
without touching
the lock,
gone, without a trace,
misterfying
the human race,
nothing left behind,
(but a rumored banana rind).
A few girls were weeping,
outside the old cave door,
just friends, with benefits,
no, nothing more,
it's a story of old,
that somehow remains new,
and in that divine spirit,
happy easter to you.

lol! ty for reminding us easter is not only about water walkers and fluffy bunnies that leap. it's about BONNETS. i had forgotten mine, an itchy yellow arrangement of ribbons and such
