Fields of crystal
skeletal limbs stretch
touching icy winter sun
crystalline wrappings

haiku first - but also...

among fields of crystal
the skeletal limbs stretch
desperately imploring
the icy winter sun
to dabble her golden-tinged fingers
through their
crystalline-wrapped hair
to release, relax
even as it takes away
their shine.
