Poetry in Baltimore Party - photos
The Poetry in Baltimore 3rd Anniversary party was held at the Load of Fun Gallery on April 18th. 2008. Several Studio Eight poets were there, including myself, Mark WIREMAN, constantine, and Terri. It was a blast! Here are some photos from the event.
At the gallery, they have wires or string with clothespins on them and artists and poets draw or write something to hang.
There was a full house!
Barbara DeCesare, Her performance was excellent!
This is Clarinda Hariss, a fine Baltimore poet whose material was terrific!
A piece of art hanging from a clothespin.
A poem on the wire.
Constantine Pantazonis (Dino) .... performing! His reading was terrific and it was great to meet him!
Dino again..... go constandino!
Julie, the founder of Poetry in Baltimore. Julie organizes many Baltimore poetry events and also sends out announcements to let people know where to go when. She's a gem and a gift to the poetry scene in Baltimore.
Julie again and that's Terri on the right.
TT Tucker (aka Tommy DiVenti).....Michael Berenzhoff -Bass & Ralph Reinoldi - Guitar for Raga Celtic Delta Blues Band
This is Steve Weaver aka "saw" ... a very fine poet from the PIB site.
Steve Weaver aka "saw" again.
This is Terri, who's reading at the open mic I unfortunately missed because I was late. It was great to meet Terri finally!
TT Tucker (aka Tommy DiVenti)
Kitty art from the front window.
This is WIREMAN and Chris Toll, a Baltimore poet whose material I really enjoyed! I also very much enjoyed WIREMAN's performance with the Raga band! Great stuff!
And this is the Raga band's Ralph Reinoldi -Guitarist - and Woody Lissauer, a Baltimore musician and producer, on the right.
Final note -
Jamie Wilson plays percussion for the band and is the owner of Birdhouse Studios in Baltimore.
(Thank you to Wireman for the corrections. This post now has the correct info.)

thank you so much for posting those D
Dino you look like a college professor.
I decided to buy new jeans, Some how the tight waists make it worse. I remember now how I lost thirty five pounds the last time. I bought bigger jeans. Hurt my vanity but it was worth it.
take care of your self

Constantine I am in deep do do here in the republic of desire,
This is the most I have weighed in about twenty years, another five or six pounds and I will be my all time record of 250 pounds. Not only that but I am at least and inch shorter. I don't mean to to be so got dam personal no need for you to know my life story, just poetry such intimate stuff for me, but you know I am not finding much humor in me condition these days. I am maybe autistic do I sound like I am being critical of you, god I hope not. I am struggling with it, trying not to lose my sense of humor.
You are probably right, Doreen takes fat pictures, hell look at her big butt in that one picture of her.
Sorry to change user id's in mid thread but stilltrucking is going to retire again.
I can't deal with ten thousand posts, takes so long to find stuff,
That tag line for this sock puppet is a true false question from a Hogan Test, a psychological test trucking companies use to evaluate potential drivers.
thanks for the poetry

all I am seeing is my own perdicament
and I like big butts.
but mine is inky dinky
I am an apple not a pear
a dangerous condition they say
for men of a certain age
I wish I was in dixie
I wish I was in baltimore
street cars running by my door
little lizza jane.
sorry I rambles a bit
sorry I could not have clicked my heels together
and been there

in baltimore
among the beautiful poets

I was going to say the same thing, hest! You're a good looking guy, Dino!
Everybody's overly self conscious about their own photos. I know I am.
......
We should have a Studio Eight anniversary party some time! The board was started July 10, 2004. This coming July, 2008. makes 4 years.
Wouldn't it be cool to start planning a 5-year in person anniversary party? Does a year and 3 months give people long enough to plan?
July 2009 will be 5 years.
Where should we have it? Some central location? We have members in various parts of the world.
This is a cool idea. What do you all think? Maybe we could meet somewhere exotic.... or relaxing anyway. Rent a block of hotel rooms? Or camp out? Or?
