Three ideas for modifying Studio Eight

I'm thinking of adding 2 modifications -

1) a mod to close up the categories... meaning when you come here, all you'd see is

Studio Eight Community
Creative Expression
Discussion
Studios
Artlogs
Columnists
Specials
Reference
Rants & Trash
Archived Forums
Archived Jams & Events

Then, as a user, you can click that category open to see the forums inside it.

2) A way to upload images which will be stored on another site (for free) and when you upload, the image would appear as a smaller thumbnail in your post until someone clicks it.

and

3) I'm thinking of combining Studios with Artlogs
Because I'm having a hard time telling the difference.. they're both forums that belong to members for their own specific purpose.

What do you all think of these three ideas?

it's a long way to scroll. So not eliminating categories, but making it so you don't see the forums inside them until you click to open them up. It might be nice yeah!

I was talking to eyelidlessness and he said he thought there may be a way to do the upload feature in conjunction with photobucket of flickr... so the upload here is attached to your account there. I need to check it out.

Cool! I honed it down from 11 categories to 8 tonight. Getting more streamlined. Easier to see where you are.
