con creama

Post by Odette »

We have met for afternoon tea
Emily, Anaïs and me

“Why can’t he see?” I gasp,
choking on a bun

Emily grasps the teapot
to pour for us

Anaïs raises an impossible
eyebrow, “Ah, Cherie!”

Takes my trembling hand so softly,

“Come stay a while in my closet,” Emily
coos.

“Non, my attic!
I myself shall lock you in!”

Anaïs dangles a golden key.

Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
