Reconstruction

Reconstruction

waltz with the obvious
take the logical approach
crack the egg on reason
until your brain is poached

dissect the argument
parse the facts and dissemble
explanations are useless
history resembles

what we imagine of the past
as real as what we see today
but the past is elastic, pliable
we knead it like we knead clay
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

I only rhyme
when it's time
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

oh, to dissect a human brain
connect the loose ends
tie the knots & the nots
find the lightbulb
save the bug that fell off and drowned in it's own thoughts
...woulnd't you wanna be a fly on the wall
