Gustav and Katrina met in New Orleans
it was a category five kinda night
in the French Quarter of their desires

She had already devastated the place
she was irresistible and by the time he arrived
the levees were higher but they had the place to themselves

Gustav's Scandinavian blood made him a natural raider
Viking with a single sail and oars
Katrina was a Russian, more complex and deadly

They chose the waltz counterclockwise
she leads, he follows and they bend the palms
together
Dancing in a hurricane.
