30 days today. 240 hostages are still being held in Gaza and at the same time Israel is bombing the hell out of Gaza.

There are dead children in the rubble. I’m sick on my stomach. I’m so disappointed in the human race.

It isn’t defending yourself when your actions occur *after* an attack. Defense happens *during* an attack! After an attack, the correct word for it is revenge. That’s what’s happening now. Revenge.

Human beings need to evolve and eradicate war!! All wars!

If you say anything online about caring about the innocent Palestinian population, people call you an antisemite. It’s happened to me. It appalls me that anyone would think I am against Jewish people just because I support innocent Palestinians, too.

I had one group of Zionists attack me online stating “There’s no such thing as Palestine and there never had been.” How bizarre a thing to say!!!

The fact that there are demonstrations all over the world right now begging for an end to the violence against Palestinians doesn’t mean people support the horrific barbarism the terrorists acted out on October 7th!! Not at all!!

I stand for ALL innocent people! Everywhere!

The violence must stop! I pray the hostages are released safely soon!!!! Every single day I pray for Judih!

I hear you, Jack! It’s the government’s fault. The Israeli government and the US government. Our tax dollars pay for those bombs. Not in my name, either! I don’t approve! At all!

If they want to bomb the Hamas targets, they need to get the innocent people out of there first! They claim they told them to go south, but those who went south got bombed. There’s nowhere for them to go!

This whole situation is ugly and painful and it gets worse every single day!

I don’t claim to be an expert on war. I hate war. I’m a pacifist.

All I know is innocent people are getting killed every single day. And for what? It’s insane! Pure insanity! Murder.

Yes we keep the light on for Judih!

We also need to be mindful of our own mental health and state of mind. Stay positive! Stay hopeful!

One month already since the visible unthinkable happened:

the army of Israel leaving alone their citizens under attack in small villages for hours
dubious politicians sure (again) in action
a garden maybe felt as too greener and a fence
technology that didn't worked as expected
a pogrom against jews ín 2023
a burst of insanity and hate
a person, all the persons
a small village, a whole country, the whole world
the worst nightmare
and our dear friend and her partner still missing and Nir Oz devastated

May light, love and peace reach Judih, Gadi, their family, their community, their neighbors and all of us.
Specially thinking in their kids today , what a difficult and painful situation to live, all the strenght and support for them
May we all can still hope for and build a more equal, empathic and loving world
(words in translation keep teaching me: maybe more empathic and less enphatic times are needed at the moment)

I don't understand? I thought a Yahrzeit candle is lit on the anniversary of "a loved one's death, calculated according to the Hebrew calendar.
I am perhaps the worse kind of Jew, assimilated a lost child of the diaspora. I don't know jack shits about the religion of that mad dog god of my mothers and fathers before me. I was spared an old testament religious indoctrination, my father a stoned cold atheist Jew. But even so he felt no shame for being a Jew.

Sorry for all this David Copperfield kind of crap but I know this is not about me. But I am trying to show empathy to her family who might be reading this.
I feel like i am sitting shiva in a way but not quite the bone crunching grief yet. More like the hope still remains she will come back to us.
She is a tzadeket to me.
