I'm just hanging out with my daughter today. She wanted me to read a book by Roald Dahl and she was going to read one, then we are writing up quiz questions to see how well we collected on the memory.

I read Esio Trot. And she is so amazing she read four books in the time it took me to read one and take a nap.

I passed with a 100% from eight questions and she earned 100% too on her four essays, lol. It was fun, all her idea too. Dang, I did make great kiddos, but on their own they've made great strides.

She said, "And we're not doing a quiz on Moby Dick either." Noway does she wanna read it, ha ha. But, I bet someday she will.

What are you up to, anything fun cooking on the stove tonight?

didn't get up 'til almost noon - the plan today is to switch bedrooms - from upstairs to down so we can drop a blanket over the entrance to the stairs and not have to heat the upstairs for the winter. That should help a bit. And it will get me off my ass for a couple of hours. I'll write more later, gotta get busy.

Got the room switch done. It was nuts there for awhile. I read your dream this morning - you didn't mention if the iguana had honey on his face Reptiles are not a primitive life form - they are highly attuned to their environments. Your dream iguana seems to be highly attuned to laps.

Does that mean I'm highly attuned to laps then?

Ain't done any decorating yet - just got the room cleaned up and the bed moved and it was neat going to sleep in it last night cause the bedroom upstairs has white painted walls and the one down here has paneled walls so that the lamps make a much more muted glow ... goin' to move some paintings around soon and i have that big aquarium freed up since the iguana died so thinkin' of making a kind of dry garden in it with sand and stones and driftwood and a small plastic blue Indian warrior I found on the lake shore some time ago... i'll gather the sand from the roadside but can't do it today cause it's raining & the sand is soaking wet ...
working on the painting i told you about some time ago, i couldn't quite remember what i was going to call it but i think i have a reasonable facsimile - "Darcy, looking back, dreams of the tree that grows on the hill in her throat" - i been messing with it in small ways here and there over the past couple of months but it's need to get into this world must be growing cause it's been on my mind more lately ...
enough to get me to move on it anyways -

yeah, poor otis dead and gone ... Nancy said he got too cold during one of our nights and died from it. She woke up in the morning and found him stiff as a nail in his water dish. I never saw the body - she had it all taken care of by the time I got up that day. I don't want another one but thx for your offer.

I don't know if your dream means you like laps - or maybe it just means i wouldn't go near that question with a 10 foot lizard.

And I get so into it that my eyes blaze and I start to believe I can cause a natural disaster to rain down on their head. I get that heavy.
