Hester, take heart. You are so very brave and remember, never alone (we all get lone some.) I just read your new adventures, your new start and I want you to know that I am rooting for you for I have realized as you must also that things always work out as they should (even if I am scared or worried or fretting at the freakin' moment.)

You WILL get exactly the job you need to take care of yourself and your dear daughter and I am sure of that and a safe home...I feel it in my bones.

Thank you for journaling this for your fans and fannies...I know from experience (and so does Cec) that this place of like minds is the best place to express yourself and get all the support one could imagine.

Love and big smacks,
SooZ

Arcadia...a knapsack is something travelers carry their belongings in while on the run, ususally it's tied on the end of a stick, and connected to Hobos.
It's a metaphor of sorts ....

Hey Soozen so good to hear from you! And your words are comforting and wise, and gratefully taken. Thank you.

It's Thursday, and i'm about to send off two more resumes, add to the evergrowing list, of I think almost 20 now. Someone will bite, I mean somewhere in this barrage the odds have got to give me at least one response.

In the meantime, and there is some of that, I've been sitting staring at the walls, trying to write poetry, but it's always lousy when I try. Nothing is coming, the channel seems to have collapsed under my stressing about a livelihood. Silly right? Heh.

The blessings do not escape me...I mean I could be in a way worse scene and i'm aware of that. As long I keep from letting those conventional thought beasts get me down, I can get into the adventure of it all.
I keep envisioning a little place, my daughter there, my cat there, and enough for really forgetting about needing enough. What a grand experience that will be.

Next week Stella turns 16 on earth day. It's hard to think that just "yesterday" she was 2 and loved to sit on her blanket on the floor with me, readin books, and laughin our heads off with silliness. I miss that. But it remains a "happened" as Marksman said so wisely in one of his posts recently, never to not have happened. Amazing how that one statement brought me so much peace.

Anyway, ta ta for now.

Update:
Had a good interview yesterday in Olympia for a good job that I could do quite well.....
Very weird being adrift like this if I think about it too much....
Going down to Astoria today for the weekend to see my Stella!!!!!!!!!!
On that note the beat goes on, elevated at the thought of spending some time with her-- finally!
Maybe on Monday when I return there will be a job offer waiting, or a few more interviews.....I fucking hope so.
I really dig Olympia, coming here was the right choice for sure, now I just got to create a life.
No biggie eh?
Heh
Take care all
Vote for Obama!

You sound pretty happy hester
You starting to remind of those combat vets I used to run sleeper team with, the more snafu it got the more cheerful they became. They knew what was important

Seeing stella.

I said I love ya on another thread
not true, but I admire your pluck, and wish you good luck
But you know love stinks

Cyber love it is
In another life time it seems so far ago, I was a research chemist, a non degreed research chemist, organo-metalic compounds my little niche. Silicon so close to Carbon in the periodic chart, so many properties in common that some sci fi writers speak of silicon based life forms, and carbon based life forms

I am a fortunate son to have so many silicon systers.
