well... tennis. yes.

in my experience, as in tennis, love = zero.

--

i bought a wee practice amp for my axe, LR. a roland microcube. the little shit is only 2watts. not designed for a hollow body guitar. but it's smashin! great "classic amp" options, "the roland JC clean jazz amp" the "black stack" "classic rock" and the wonderfully crunchy "mesa boogie" as well as some others. it also has a few digital effects in there. tremelo, phaser, flager, chorus.... great wee thing. i'm looking forward to tomorrow morning when i can crank it up to 11... well, with 2 watts, 11 is = to about 3 or 4 on a standard "man's amp"

I'm enjoying this thing though. great fun to have electricity in my axe again.

haha... that's like viagra to an old man, eh? "electricity in my axe"

I know what you mean, bennie

I just got a 'wee' amp for my keyboard too

my sister found it in the trash. (she's a black-belt dumpster-diver)

my guitar player put a new cord on it and now I can play a credible bass with it.

(my left hand always knows where the beat is)

he plays his Washburn through a Marshall

now we just have to learn the tunes....haha

boring as tennis or golf

bennie,

It has been a while, hasn't it? I think we have been knowing each other for about 7 or 8 years. You thought I was some kind of weirdo at first because I teased you about your hands. But the truth is that I admire your writing and your wit and your imagination and I have learned from you. What's not to like?

Life is going well for me. For the time, I am able to do the things I love to do--write and play music. I have good friends around me and family. Some revenue is trickling in. I'm embarking on projects that I am excited about (I might get to play golf with Willie Nelson.)

I'm playing music daily and am in the process of assembling a band. But I'm always in the process of doing something.

One day we will meet, bennie. We'll probably drink too many and get in a brawl in the ally, or else just play some music.

i don't brawl. you remember the wrists attached to these hands, right?!

I think that's why I'm a hippy - self preservation!

i still think you're some kind of weirdo but I love you and i feel awfully tempted to visit you one day. i want to get pished with a story teller. someone with stories to tell. someone with telling stories. someone who has eyes and skin and teeth and clothes that tell you the stories before the person has time to take his first sip of beer and or whisky.

you'll probably be dead soon. you're pretty old, man! I'll have to save and plan a trip soon if i'm ever to meet you. you can shove your golf up your arse though. all the codiene in the world wouldn't make me enjoy that!

I have a few music festivals coming up, man. T in the park (which has a smashing line up this year (15th aniversary)) and connect (in it's, I think, 2nd year but also a great 3 days of camping, boozing, and music.)

I value the knowledge of You more than I'd like to admit to (having never met you).

that's right, bennie
get here in a hurry
could you bring me a pack of Galois when you come?
I won't last much longer, so I might as well enjoy myself

you won't get deleted by me

well... i am tempted. there's you, maybe we could go visit cecil together too. but then there's the music. texas is up there with liverpool and manchester (england) for musical productivity.

have you heard an austin boy called ryan bingham? i saw him in a little place called king tuts in glasgow. what a voice! genuine cowboy traveller.

let's say (if you're still alive) I invite myself over next year sometime?

the photo isn't on a photo upload site. it's taken directly from a music festival website. stolen bandwidth and all that.

Oh I see.

Well you pegged it. I just removed the img tags so we're not pulling from their bandwidth. Thanks for pointing it out. Next time, just link instead of hotlink. It really is much nicer. :)
