Whenever the cops pull me over I always take my sax with me and inform them my I.D. is in the case. Then when it seems incarceration is coming I fain distress and plead 'Please don't arrest my saxophone'. Sometimes it works well. I was stopped in Leeds, Alabama a few years ago after 12 hours or construction and 6 hours of BBQ, beer and music and when I asked to be jailed 'with' my horn, I was let go!!! Drunk as a skunk with my horn in my trunk!
