i saw that movie straight and came out high as a kite.....big bro is a favorite of mine...sam andrew their leader just passed on.....the movie was a riot, me and my 16 year old daughter (@ the time)laughed and laughed...thats what i remember.... 8)

big brother and the holding company, the dead, jefferson airplane, some goods bands came out of the city....country joe and the fish I think ?.....hot tuna...oh man

legend has it that Johnny Depp stayed at Hunter S. Thompson's place as he prepared for the movie...he was about to sleep in a room in the basement that had wooden barrels near the bed as end tables....according to Depp there were ashtrays on one of them....Depp was smoking a cigarette when he noticed that printed on the barrels was gunpowder...he ran upstairs and asked Thompson if there really was gunpowder in them...and Thompson replied, yeah, why ?....
