Reading and writing is a great consuming experience. There is a joy in using and appreciating language. That other site has, for a lot of people, lost that joy.
I'll have to get back into Studio 8 and read more of what is here on the various threads. I think this site has the right spirit and also common sense in dealing with egos.
Steve, Poetry in Baltimore----it was a good thing while it lasted. And yes I remember feuds but though some got out of hand I don't think they were quite the same as the other site's.
Walk away. Best advice. Most of these forums are little worlds in themselves. We should enjoy each other's company----and here I think people do.
And Doreen as our benevolent queen and resident poet keeps things going and people are welcomed.
