yabby- i think they would still go on the road and i thin that there are others like my self who value real experience over a sort of passive internet thing. i mean as much as i like connecting with you guys there is nothing better then having like real experiences out in the world...which is why i think dors ideas to get together in person would be a good idea.

sorry your having a bad day.

Dewey what?

C'mon, we're not that opposed to change, are we, Yab? You expect the kids to give a fetching fuck about the Dewey decimal system? You think they'll benefit from some manual encyclopedia researching?

What's a beat?

Beat Generation, a group of fellows who got together in the 1950's...included Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Neal Cassady, William S. Burroughs....who else, some others...oh yeah Gregory Corsso, Hubert Huncke. some of them were writters some of them were like bum philosophers, they were a community that lead in my opinion to the 1960's whether Kerouac wanted to do so or not.

Next month marks the 50th anniversary of the first reading of Howl. I have made a few attempts to mark the event here in Toronto but alas a lack of interest has caused me to give up....so I will have to Howl in my own way....
