Firsty suggested I turn the option on in the admin panel so admins had the option of accepting or rejecting memberships.. and I thought it was a great idea but what it did, essentially, was still allow the memberships in but direct to a link to the profile so you can decide whether to delete them or not. So that's why you were getting those notices, judih... Thanks for deleting some! I decided it was one extra step since it allowed them in prior to our approval anyway and turned it off 'cause I didn't think any of us needed to have all those emails. We can just as easily check the member list from time to time. Sorry about that and thanks again!

true, but at least i knew when they showed up.

an extra step, an extra reminder, but it let us know after they'd already signed up, so hmmmm, a nudnik ('nudnik' is hebrew for a superfluous nag)
