Lucy! -- I am on myspace, apart from my Dream & Shadow Huntsman Group page, but I don't have any of my writing on there. I mainly just use it for staying connected to a bunch of my friends from Norman. However, the "Wizard Exploded Cookbook" link in my sig will take you to my sporadically updated weblog.

firsty - That would be great! We'd love it if you and pel can come! The sooner we know whether you want to be in the show and perform some poetry, the better. So please let us know when you can because slots are filling fast! :)

izzy - pel is pelerine from litkicks... sure you remember her, don'tchya? ;)

mars - It would be terrific if you could make it.... hopefully you'll be able to come bells and all! please let us know as soon as you can, OK? Thanks! I understand it's hard to make commitments when you're young and everything is all confusing but trust me, everything gets even more confusing and it makes it even harder when you're old like me... As I always say... Hang in there! By tomorrow things should be back to turmoil.:)

I tell you what, Dor, I'm gonna try my best to be there, but I'm gonna have to not sign up for performing. You remember what happened last time I did that...
So instead I'll just try to show up to watch and hang out. I'll bring a guitar and maybe perform a little outside the show, how's that?

I do indeed, my lovely D. I was working on a skit for my group and I to perform at Cabaradio, but sadly, it actually will be just me. Mary is going to be back home in Los Angeles, James is going to Seatle to visit his friends from college, and Vakill and Naima are both taking holiday in Jamaica so that Naima can meant Vakill's parents. They're getting married. Bummer but I can rework it so that you and I could do it. Or I can leave it as is, and we can drag two or three other people in... Jim, Lrod, Dave, *nudge*. Anyway, lemme know what you think.

p.s Oh dear, Mars. And here I'd gone through all that trouble alerting Playgirl for nothing. Ah well.

Oh I liked to come on out to Cabaradio this summer. But the way things are for me makes it impossible to do it.

Mars-
Hope you can come too! That sounds fine. We're hoping to figure out how to add an Open Mic to be after one of the shows. I don't know how that will work yet but we will definitely keep you posted.

Kayla-
Terrific! Please send me the email address you'd like me to use for the group update mailings. I remember last time having a problem with you not getting your mail. And email me or pm me the idea you have for the skit. Do you have a script? Or is it an improv? I'd love to participate and I'm sure we can get others to participate in a skit, too! No problem with that!

Dave-
I'm sorry to hear you won't be able to make it. Maybe something will change between now and then and allow you to come.

-------------

The show slots are filling fast!

Here's how it's coming -

We've got several musicians who are going to be in the show.. singer/songwriters, guitarists, and more!

We have a dance troupe which is going to perform dance to poetry & music! Pretty darn cool!

We've got a few spoken word poets and 2 very cool novelty acts including a Tongue Twister gal who will do some things with audience participation.

All we need now are a couple of stand-up comics and that's in the works!

If any of you know any really funny stand-up comics you think might like to be in the show, shoot me an email and let me know who they are, ok?

I'm really excited about the show!

To all those who said you would be participating, I'm going to send you an email (hopefully this weekend) and start the ball rolling with planning via email.

Pretty soon, I'll let you all know more about the line-up!

We're gettin' ready to Cabaradio, Fringe styles! Woohoooooo!

Thank you all!

Woohoo! Excellent! Glad to hear this!

I'm in process of writing an update email. I'll include you to receive it, firsty!

Hope to get it sent out tomorrow or the next day.

The show is really full with both poets and musicians but it's early and people drop out sometimes when you plan something so early, so at this point, I don't know whether we'll be able to have you and Pel in or not but we sure would like to.... !!!

One idea is to have 2 different casts for the 2 different shows but I'm not sure that will work. Gotta think about it.

What we DO need BIGTIME is stagehands, so if you want to work on the show in that capacity, we could really use your help! We have to be able to set-up and breakdown quickly.

And we're hoping to set up an Open Mic event in addition to the shows.

We also need a stand-up comic. Know anybody who might be interested?

We went to a meeting with the Festival Organizers the other day and there will be 10 days with 100 or so groups performing 400+ shows at various venues. This is BIG! Very cool! Lots of performance art here that week!

Looking forward to finally meeting you two!

i dont know about being a stagehand. if i can be supplied with a large quantity of low-priced vicodin for when i pull my back out lifting something, or even just some vicodin regardless of how my back is feeling, i might consider it.

i'll let pel know about the comic thing. can you send specifics, something we can pass along to someone? she works at a comedy club and also knows a bunch of comics. so she might be able to help with that.

Really? She works at a comedy club? Very cool!

Yeah, the email I'm writing will include all the specifics and it would be great if she could pass it along and see if she knows someone (FUNNY) ;) who is interested! Thank you both very much!

I've been thinking about the idea of the 2 casts for 2 show thing for a while now. It might work just fine.

First show is Saturday, July 29th at 4:15.
Second show is Sunday, July 30th at 8PM.
Both shows are an hour and a half.

If we're able to schedule it that way, which one would you prefer to be in?

i guess we'd prefer the sunday nite thing. when you say "casts", you just mean, like, the lineup, right? i aint acting in anything. i'll talk, but i dont do song and dance.
