ready for a performance
2 years gone from the clotting
eating more spinach
love that spinakopita
broccoli too
wingin' it w/the words

the sun is shining this morn
been more than a few daze
since ya left us king
i sit in your palace
beneath blue skies and
purple catoctin's majesty
the place where francis scott
laze all the live long day
the place where people still
don't lock the doors

ancient angel cats
delivering the word
like wake love crush sleep
a ghost in a garden
helpless under the stain

Good news Mr Wireman
good news
I am glad to get

I was thinking about the lords prayer and this popped into my head

my father who art
gone these many years
If you can hear me
and still help me
along my way
please give me
my daily spinach
& strength for the day

dharma would say something here
but however you ohm it
suffering is not what we're after
before we suffer
we prefer to have a lot of fun
enjoyment and its colleagues
all the good stuff
yeah
pull out the rich sublime contentment card
deal us all a deck
enjoy our hands
keep that blissful thing highly tuned
right on track
give us more of that

where the deals go down
right outside my welding shop
me sticking to my side
i don't miss it now that
it's gone, for 5 years an
uneasy truce reigned
and i learned that life
in the bowels is neither
cut and dry or all that
simple, i wrote some of
my best stuff in that place
where the river ran yellow
and smelled like ammonia

I, too, love an old truck Wireman. Once I wrote a poem about one, it's a good looking truck, to somebody.

o the trucks i've had
74' dodge van back in the 70's
a nisszn/datsun in the 80's and 90's
also a black chevy luv that my wife
banged around in...literally
then in 2001 i got a tundra
drove it up till a couple a years
ago and finally now i've surrendered
to the 50 mpg efficiency of an old
honda civic....contemplating another van
as i write...when economy picks up for sure.....
