yet my bed beckons
for round 2 of saturday morning!
catch ya on the rebound
(thanks wireman!

rosemary 12:57
who dares sniff the oil that cures my lungs of wintry congestion
i do
rosemary 12:58
who picks the fragrance that stirs water into green wine
rosemary 12:59
who drinks over sunshine blooms, wild desert flowers the size of a shout in the afternoon
rosemary 12:59:40
who holds a glass of comfort when a friend smiles this way
a warm soup of a friend

It is still dark
the sun still hidding in the east
I am peeking out and smelling spring
the lilacs and jasmine perfume
this desert space and
mexican poppies dance
in the west texas winds
we have a yard sale to do
(everybody does it in spring
everything does it in spring)
out with the old...old frames,
old towels, old lady stuff so
spring can spring anew
(wish I could stay and play!
how do I manage to always
miss the jams?)
have fun and think of me selling old stuff...Hah!

pranayama
i breathe deep
the scent of new life
the scent of rosemary
that has been left here
by my friend judih
pranayama
i breathe deep
it is another day
this plant - sea dew
she thrives in dry soil
she thrives in light
she thrives in a warm environment
like me
i breathe deep
it is another day
and spring is here

i whisper
thank you
for a place like this
i whisper
thank you
for a place
to come
to breathe
deep
i whisper
thank you
to those
with words
i whisper
thank you
for sharing
your words
i whisper
thank you
I have opened
my eyes to
your words
i whisper
doreen
judih
wireman
knip
buddabitch
more to meet
thank you
i whisper
thank you
for generosity
of spirit
allowing
others
to enter
this place
to read
to speak
good morning
good day
the sun serpent
is returning
the shadows
are lengthening
the diamond-
backed snake
is in descent
and so
we dance
together
even strangers
we dance
the dance
of
rebirth
renewal
i whisper
and
breathe
deep

i like sage in my soup
in my day
on the way
spring wisdom
radiates hope
(and where there's hope -
there's a chance i'll listen)

soft light
from white wings - sailing in over budding trees
the first daffodil nods from beside the chamomile carpet
sage, called 'marvah'
hyssop, called 'za'atar'
lemon grass, called 'limoneet'
grow in the herbal garden
fortified by the crystal presence
and long toned ohms that live nearby
we are what we breathe
let's breathe
with full lunged joy
converting daylight to soul life
