Poetry's ahht is generally about the ahhtist. And the world. On more than one plane. Otherwise, why would the world give a damn? Not all poetry is poetic. On that we shall tend to agree to agree.

TSE may have been a trifle quaint and conservative: but his eloquent ragtime generally quite superior to what has passed for "poesy" over the last eh 50 years or so. He knows his frenchy-latinate, and history, and metaphysic. Alas, poesy like classical muzak a bit of the noble's sport (hear of any great stalinist poets? Nyet) : po' boys are bettah off with prose and journalism. The phun-house, sanitorium shrieks and porn-spam of the beats and pals gets olde, quickly, we suggest.
